Hannah Zaheer’s choreography is inspired both by her experiences of personal change (and of what stays the same), and the experiences of the dancers in the piece. Embracing the motifs of "heart" and "blood," the choreography explores connections between individuals, as well as how isolation can effect people's self-reflection. The lighting for the piece needed to draw start contrasts between connection and intimacy on one hand, and isolation and self-observation on the other, to support the emotional processes communicated by the dancers.
